Thomson's model of an atom

Thomson was a greater mentor and taught upto 7 person who have got noble prize incorporating rutherford who had disproven his model.


His model is also called the plum pudding and watetmelon model of an atom as he had proposed that atlm is some sort of spherical ball onto which most of the positive charge is spread uniformly (just like the milk in the plum pudding and fleshy part in the watermelon)and negative charged electrons are embedded over it (just
like the currents in the puddung and seeds in the watermelon )
