Niels Bohr's model of an atom

The main points of the bohr's model of an atom was that due to the failure of the classical theories of physics as in the blackbody radiationa nd photoelectric effect among others had led him to assume that the energy is discrete, which was also verified by the planck's idea of quantization and therefore he took an arbitrary value that is h/2π as an basr value of the angular momentum of the orbit of an atom onto which the electron is supposed to revolve and that's why he put forth the relation L= nh/2π where L is the angular momentum and n is an positive integer and h is the plack's constant equal to 6.626*10^-34 which is also the lowest valued (mathematically) constant in physics .
